Revista Velvet column "To Heaven and Back"

Our ability to grow and change is at the core of our human nature. and we have all been mutating at the point of earthquakes and puffs of air in recent months. Personally, I feel like I've been in those since 2013, when my first son, Matteo, was diagnosed with a degenerative genetic condition (Leukodystrophy AGS) that has no cure or treatment. Daily life with his condition, the impact it had on his body and then Matteo's death on November 16, 2018, led me to have a very advanced postgraduate degree in resilience. I conquered a personal space from which to reinvent myself, and being born again became second nature. That space flourished thanks to a journal that I began to write in his last year of life and sealed the year of his journey to the afterlife.
